The Kansas City Startup Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a thriving and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Kansas City through storytelling, experiences, and education redesign.
Sharing stories builds awareness of Kansas City founders, creators, and innovators, and serves to bolster our entrepreneurial ecosystem. We do this work through Startland News.
A connected community is a strong community. We curate events that strengthen the ties between entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, government, and education. We do this work through many events including: Innovation Exchange, Startup Crawl KC, Startups to Watch, Top VC-Backed Companies, and StartupKC Explore.
Vibrant communities are fueled by engaged, creative problem solvers. We build students’ desire, confidence, and ability to solve real problems and empower educators to do the same in their classrooms. We do this work through KCSFedu which includes multiple efforts including MECA Challenge, Innovative Schools Visits, and MECA Methods Educator Trainings.
